Iconify was founded in April of 2012. The service was intended to provide users with a professional way to display their work on the web. So far the application has made a strong impression with those who are concerned about the quality and functionality of their portfolios. Numerous websites, blogs and reviews have discussed the benefits of Iconify and its unique approach to portfolio design.
The main difference both the user and their clients will notice is the way Iconify looks. The application takes portfolios in a new direction without removing any of the necessities. Visitors can access contact details easily while experiencing the user’s work in a handsome environment. The presentation really makes the view much better without distracting from the individual images contained within each portfolio.
Few applications look as modern as Iconify. The interface is sleek with a minimalist approach that doesn’t infringe on the viewing experience. A handful of simple icons give the user access to everything they need on the account dashboard. The background includes large, unique images that add personality to the interface while still maintaining that clean, friendly feel throughout. It takes minimal time for even the most novice of users to master Iconify.
New users can begin by completing the short form found along the lower right side of the Iconify homepage. The user must provide a username, email address and password. After typing each in to their respective fields, the user can click the bright pink button below to submit their information. The user is automatically logged in and given access to a menu that allows them to watch a demo or complete their profile.
Iconify comes in two flavors: free and Pro. Users receive access to all features with both accounts. The difference lies in the upload limitations. Free users can include up to 10 images in their portfolio. Pro users pay a $5 per month subscription fee and are given the ability to upload as many as 500 images. Pro users also receive access to the affiliate program which gives the user 20% of monthly revenue each time a new Pro user adds them as a referral.
Iconify is a great tool for anyone with a visual portfolio they want to share. The service caters to photographers although it has benefits that anyone who works with images could appreciate. The free account is very limited, so it is best for amateurs or those who simply want to test out the service before committing to it. On the up side, the paid Pro account is very affordable for anyone so upgrading for more image upload capacity doesn’t feel like a chore.
